Biocircular Economy
The biocircular economy is one of the EU's flagship priorities within the European Green Deal and Bioeconomy Strategy 2030. ACSI supports research and projects aimed at replacing fossil raw materials with biological resources, closing material cycles and minimizing waste.
Research & support directions
Development of next-generation biomaterials: bioplastics, biocomposites, biotextiles – replacing synthetic materials with renewable alternatives.
Agrobiotechnological innovations: soil microbiome, pest biocontrol, precision farming and biofortification of agricultural crops.
Implementing circular economy principles in industrial and agricultural chains: closing material cycles, cascading use of biomass.
Bioprocessing solutions: converting organic waste into bioenergy, biofertilizers and high-value biochemicals.
Integrating eco-innovative approaches into regional production in accordance with EU Bioeconomy Strategy 2030.
